Week 2
We have had so many celebrations this week!
We started with Shrove Tuesday. We learnt all about why we eat pancakes, had a go at tossing pancakes, did pancake races and then at pancakes for snack. We also learnt about Mardi Gras and had our own carnival. We wore beads, made masks and danced.
Then we celebrated Ash Wednesday. Father Norbert came to talk to use about Lent. We all made the promise to try hard to be kind during Lent. Then he put ashes on our heads.
On Thursday, it was World Book Day. We dressed up as our favourite book characters, had a parade in the hall and listened to stories read by different teachers. It was great fun!
We deserve a rest this weekend!!
