Catholic Life of the School

Our Gospel Assembly provided an opportunity to reflect upon the immeasurable love of God — a love that reaches every heart and unites us in faith and purpose. May we continue to embody His message of compassion, understanding, and grace.

Crowning of Mary Service
We gathered to honour Mary, the Mother of Jesus, in this special Crowning of Mary service. Through scripture, prayer, and reflection, we remembered Mary’s faith, humility, and loving “yes” to God’s call. As the crown was placed upon her, we gave thanks for her example of devotion and asked for her prayers for our community, our families, and the wider world. May this celebration inspire us to follow Christ with the same trust, compassion, and hope that Mary showed throughout her life.

Year 6 attended a special mass at church with their EYFS buddies. It was a beautiful service led by Canon Norbert.

Mr Curry led a reflective Gospel assembly for the whole school, including music and prayer, encouraging pupils to think deeply about the message shared.

Our Chaplaincy team invited us to celebrate the Feast Day of Our Lady of Fatima and reflect on her message of peace, prayer and hope. The assembly encouraged us to show kindness, compassion and courage in our daily lives and bring positivity to those around us.

Our Chaplaincy team spent the day at John Henry Newman School,  learning about Saint Francis of Assisi and his values of humility, peace, and care for others and the environment

Year 5 pupils performed a thoughtful and reflective                                                 presentation of the Stations of the Cross.

DIOCESAN INSPECTION OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION (October 2021):

In October 2021, the school's provision of Catholic Education and the Catholic Life of the school was inspected by the Diocese.  Since the date of the last inspection back in 2017, the school has worked incredibly hard to improve both the standards of teaching and learning in RE but also to place our Catholic identity firmly at the heart of everything that we do.  We are delighted to announce that the Diocesan inspectors agreed with our judgements that Classroom Religious Education is GOOD and the Catholic life of the school is now OUTSTANDING.
